Brewix Desk vs Spiceworks

Spiceworks is the help desk many solo IT admins start on, because it’s free for up to five technicians. Brewix Desk isn’t, so here’s what the price buys a Microsoft 365 team, and when Spiceworks is still the right choice.

Facts about Spiceworks checked on October 20, 2026, from the sources listed at the end. Brewix Desk is in private development, so its column describes the prototype as built today, before it connects to real Microsoft 365 tenants.

Choose Spiceworks if…

  • The budget is zero, and a basic ticket queue with a portal and email is enough.
  • You don’t need Teams intake, Entra sign-in or device details on the ticket.
  • You value the Spiceworks community that comes with it.

Choose Brewix Desk if…

  • Your staff ask in Teams and you want those requests to become tickets.
  • You want the person’s Intune device on the ticket without opening another console.
  • You want sign-in through Entra ID, with your MFA and Conditional Access, and no ads.

What It Costs

For a team of one, three or five.

Spiceworks’ Core plan is free for up to five technicians and shows ads. A paid Premium plan removes the ads; once you have six technicians, every seat is paid.

Brewix Desk: $79 a month includes one technician, then $25 a month for each extra, up to 10 technicians in all. Yearly billing is two months free. Prices in US dollars, before tax.
